So... Yeah... Guess I kind of dropped the ball (no pun intended) on blogging every week. But! It's a new year and just like everyone else, the plan is for a new me. This is not to say that the old me is bad, but everyone has to monitor and adjust. 2014 brought good times including graduation from college and I know that 2015 will bring many new changes with it. I am currently living at home and working at Applebee's... It's not exactly a sports media career, but it will do for now.

As I continue to go about my summer and get closer to graduation I find myself getting into a routine. Work, come home, watch the same shows, eat dinner, sleep and repeat. I decided to break the routine recently and go to the show. The movie was ‘Begin Again’ starring Mark Ruffalo and one of my favorite on-screen stars, Keira Knightley. (Don’t worry, no spoiler alerts here)
It has been way too long since I have written for which I can only blame myself. I have had many thoughts that I have made a list of, but I have yet to take the time and use the diligence to make them complete posts. However, this post hopefully brings me back into the writing loop and will shed some light on current events.
Since I am interested in sports I figure it is probably about time to write some about sports.
When you live alone it leaves countless hours for my mind to race with useless questions. Through countless internet tabs and a never ending cycle of countless random facts, i found myself on a page with random animal facts...
I am not much of a writer although I seem to be fairly decent at it. I have never enjoyed reading novels for pleasure, yet I will pick apart any recipe (or my TV guide.) There are many things that have changed in my three years in college. I started at Harding as a music education major thinking that I could change the lives of young students across the country. Only one semester on that side of the Reynolds building, amidst a combination of lots of time in prayer and speaking to many people I switched my major to Public Relations. Through many twists and turns I have found myself working in sports broadcasting and seriously considering it for a career.
I am for sure late to the sports game. I played tee-ball in elementary school and other than that, I was never in to sports until a few years ago. My loyalties range from Seattle to St. Louis, Tulsa, OKC and Little Rock. I never thought I would be in the position I'm in, both in my passion in sports and the fact that I am actually taking the time to write this post. I am officially calling my blog "Posting and Toasting" and for anyone who knows me and knows sports knows this title may be confusing. I am in no way a Knicks fan nor do I have any ties to Walt "Clyde" Frazier. I simply chose the title because it is sports related, it has the word post in it, and I'm not very creative in coming up with titles. I am counting on those who read this to keep me accountable in posting at least once a week, although I would like to post every three days or so. I am already working on a post that will be up very soon... probably tonight. Peace, Love, and Sports. LT |
